The Lark Ascending is being performed at the Royal Festival Hall on Friday 26 April at 7.30pm.
Alan Titchmarsh presents an exquisite programme of great English classics crowned by Vaughan Williams’ sublime masterpiece The Lark Ascending. The repertoire will consist of pieces such as Walton’s Crown Imperial, Delius’s Walk in the Paradise, Parry’s Blest Pair of Sirens, Butter Worth’s The Banks of Green Willow, Elgar’s Nimrod and Finale from Enigma, Pomp & Circumstance No. 4, Handel’s Worthy is the Lamb and Amen from Messiah, Zadok the Priest, Monk’s Jupiter From The Planets and Parry’s I Was Glad and Jerusalem.
This will all be performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra, City of London Choir, Violinist Thomas Gould and all conducted by Hilary Davan Wetton.
